About the course
Undertake cutting-edge research in contemporary biochemistry and gain expertise in areas such as biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology and synthetic biology, industrial biotechnology, cellular architecture and dynamics and infectious diseases.
Overview
Based in a research lab, you undertake research on a project agreed with your Research Supervisor. On a research-focused Master's course, you take an interactive approach to learning, rather than attending traditional lectures. Seminars, workshops and lab meetings enable you to gain an in-depth understanding of the field.
Entry Requirements
Minimum 2:2 degree in a relevant subject. Acceptance of any candidate is at the discretion of the supervisor, following an interview.
All applicants are considered on an individual basis and additional qualifications, professional qualifications and relevant experience may also be taken into account when considering applications.

Due to visa restrictions, students who require a student visa to study cannot study part-time unless undertaking a distance or blended-learning programme with no on-campus provision.
