About the course

Program Overview

The term cyber defines activities using computer systems and networks. Nowadays, one of the most important needs of cyber technologies in terms of both infrastructure and applications is cyber security. Hence, there is a growing demand for experts in the field of cyber systems and information security in both academia and industry. According to the ISC2 2019 report, there exists a shortage of more than 4 million cyber systems and security experts in the world. In order to meet this crucial need, an innovative graduate program that combines several fields such as cryptology, computer networks, operating systems, software engineering, cloud systems, distributed systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning, risk analysis, strategic planning, and criminal law, is required.

Entry Requirements

• Personal and Educational Background Information (CV)
• 2 Recommendation Letters
• English proficiency test score (for those whose native language is not English)
• TOEFL Internet-Based: minimum Score 80 (if taken in Turkey it must be carried out at the test centers located in state universities)
• GRE test scores (optional for international applicants but strongly recommended)
• Official transcripts from all the university degrees completed
• Statement of Purpose

Submitting an application without any one of the items below may result in rejection due to the high volume of applications received each intake.

All applicants should apply through the Koç University online application system.

Fees

• The MSc Cybersecurity tuition fee at Koç University is 67.500 Turkish Lira (TL) or 8.500 USD ($) for the 2021-22 academic year
• Tuition is paid in Turkish Lira by both national and international admitted students
• The tuition fee covers the three-semesters of education
