About the course

A fully funded master by research (MRes) in Organic Chemistry focusing on Green Formulation Chemistry. This is part of the Eco-Innovation Cheshire and Warrington Industry Collaboration programme (03R17P01835). This studentship is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Background

We now understand that excessive use of pesticides induces resistance in insect populations while also indiscriminately targeting important natural predators, which in many cases are sufficient to maintain a pest population below a harmful level.

Entry Requirements

A minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree in chemistry or a related discipline. Applicants with a relevant lower second class honors degree may be considered, subject to interview.

You will be a motivated and dynamic person, with a demonstrable capability to conduct independent research.

Applicants whose first language is not English must provide evidence of proficiency to IELTS 6.5 with minimum score 5.5 in each band or equivalent.
