Course content

Opportunities are available to study for the research degrees of MPhil and PhD in Biomedical Engineering.

Candidates with previous bioengineering, biomedical engineering or research experience may register for the degree of MPhil.

Candidates for MPhil or PhD will normally attend some of the classes offered in the MSc course. They then undertake a research or development project and submit a thesis for oral examination.

Candidates in industry, the health service or other suitable employment may register for part-time study for MPhil or PhD degrees. The duration of study is normally twice that for full-time students. Projects for part-time study are subject to the approval of the Head of the Unit.

Visit the MPhil in Biomedical Engineering page on the University of Strathclyde website for more details!
