Course content

This MRes Molecular Biology course considers the molecular biology of prokaryotes and eukaryotes and looks at how genomes are mutated, analysed and manipulated in the detection, study and therapy of disease. You will also explore a range of current topics and their application to macromolecular analysis.

The MRes courses are divided into a taught element (60 credit points) and a laboratory-based research project (120 credit points). You will complete the extended research project in one of our highly rated research teams.
