The Modern Foreign Languages (French) course aims to give student teachers the professional skills needed to become successful teachers who can develop learners' mastery and use of the foreign language they are studying. At the Aberystwyth ITE Partnership, you will be trained to teach your specialist modern foreign language, or even a combination of languages. A degree, at least 50% of which is Foreign Languages-related. We consider students with degrees in other subjects who are foreign nationals and fluent speakers of the language. There will be gaps in subject knowledge for all students and the course is designed to address this issue.
To support the Welsh Government’s Literacy and Numeracy framework students must have achieved a standard equivalent to a Grade B in the GCSE examination in any of the following:
