This M-Level specialist option is aimed at students who wish to develop the specialist knowledge and skills required to teach children with dyslexia. Dyslexic-type difficulties are recognised as being the largest single cause of literacy difficulties. Students can opt to do one of the following pathways:

• MEd Teaching Children with Specific Literacy Difficulties with Associate Membership of the British Dyslexia Association ( AMBDA) and an Assessment Practising Certificate (APC)

• MEd Addressing Difficulties in Literacy Development

For both pathways all modules below must be completed, but to achieve AMBDA and APC you must complete added elements along with each module. All modules listed are accredited by the British Dyslexia Association.
