The Master´s Degree Programme in Biomedicine offers a unique training opportunity in molecular biosciences combined with medicine at the UEF School of Medicine. The training advances your knowledge in the most recent developments of molecular biomedicine and its translational opportunities, focusing on genome-based prognostics and diagnostics as well as personalized treatments.
The thesis-based graduate programme is research-intensive and has been developed by experienced teachers and scientists at the Institute of Biomedicine, A. I. Virtanen Institute for Molecular Sciences, and School of Pharmacy. It provides you with a solid background for e.g. in pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries and also for postgraduate studies. A Bachelor's or equivalent degree in an applicable field (e.g., ., biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, biomedicine) corresponding to at least 3 years' of full‐time academic studies (equivalent of 180 ECTS credit units in the Finnish university system) obtained at an internationally recognized and accredited university or higher education institution (Students with Finnish University of Applied Sciences degree are not electable).
