The University of Liverpool
Management School is one of an elite group of institutions worldwide to be AACSB-Accredited.
The MBA programme entered The Economist’s ‘Which MBA?’ top 100 global ranking in 2015.
If you’re looking to develop your skills as an effective manager and potential leader, then the Liverpool MBA is the programme for you. You’ll build a deeper understanding of core business and management disciplines and learn how they link together strategically and operationally.
The core elements of the programme – leadership, strategy, managing the environment, innovation, entrepreneurship, managing financial resources – are delivered in concentrated blocks to encourage a deeper understanding, with a strong emphasis on interactive teaching and learning.
You can choose from a number of optional modules which cover a range of business and management disciplines, including: marketing and branding, financial risk management, and operations and supply chain management. This allows you to specialise or develop greater breadth of knowledge. The broader skills you’ll acquire include analysis, problem solving, creativity and decision-making.
The Developing as a Manager and a Leader module will also serve to strengthen and hone your interpersonal, communication and leadership abilities – all of which will prepare you for success within the modern organisation. Theory, we believe, has most value when it can be seen working in practice, which is why live case studies and simulations are central to teaching and learning. You’ll also have a range of opportunities to work on real projects for sponsoring organisations through work based projects and the student-led consultancy service.

MBA Student Community
Each year our MBA students form lasting friendships, build a supportive network and make key business contacts with future leaders from around the world. The MBA student community meets regularly, following a calendar of social events funded in part by the Management School. Our students take full advantage of all that Liverpool has to offer – from eating out, to visiting bars, watching theatre and enjoying the lively music scene.
Students will normally be expected to hold a 2:1 Honours degree (which may be in any discipline) from a UK university, or an equivalent professional qualification from a similar non-UK institution. Non-graduates with very extensive professional experience and/or other prior qualifications may be considered. Candidates should normally be expected to have a minimum of three years appropriate work experience. All candidates must meet our required level of English.
