MBA Master of Business Administration (Graduate)

Course Description

The MBA (Graduate) is a full-time career development programme for those with little or no work experience. This course focuses on developing the leadership and management skills needed in today’s global economy. You will gain a critical knowledge of organisations and their management, and develop a creative and systematic approach to understanding business issues. You will also develop knowledge of how to improve business, leadership and management practice in your organisation, along with transferable skills that will help you work with self-direction and originality.

What you will learn

You will study a contemporary curriculum which focusses on the key functional areas such as leadership and management, human resource management (HRM), financial and strategic management and more. The aim is to develop your leadership and management competencies and prepare you for new areas of responsibility.

We use a wide range of teaching and learning methods including lectures, workshops, tutorials (group and individual) and guest speakers. The use of case studies, business games and the completion of a consultancy project will give you the opportunity to examine how business theories and concepts apply to real world leadership and management practice.

While studying the MBA you will develop the intellectual capabilities of research, critique, synthesis and innovation, culminating in your completion of the consultancy project. The academic and professional skills you gain will support your career development and help you succeed in further study.
