A bachelor degree with a 2:2 (hons) in engineering, a physical science or mathematics discipline.

Applicants must have strong marks across a breadth of relevant modules, including mathematics and physical sciences.

Relevant professional qualifications and experience may also be considered.

Ibrahim Hashim

I decided to study this course because it offers the opportunity to further my career by extending my skillset. Most of the modules are very relevant to my previous study and my current work as an Inspector Engineer at an oil refinery. Additionally, I chose this course because I am looking to diversify my knowledge in materials science by studying advanced subjects such as nanomaterials and functional materials which are involved in this course.

Most of the modules are supported by practicals, case studies and group assignments which improves my research and team working skills. This is enhanced by the friendly and supportive atmosphere in the university. The staff are very helpful and you can find clear guidance in your learning at any point.
