Master's in Management

Course Description

About the MSc programme

This is an intensive one-year programme designed to develop your intellectual and professional skills as an outstanding manager and leader in global business.

For students wishing to launch their career in management, this programme will give you a foundation in the fundamentals of managing people and organisations within the context of business on a global scale. Core courses will develop your skills in business analysis, marketing, financial management, people management, leadership and strategy.

The curriculum will take an in-depth analytical approach throughout, enabling you to critically assess the latest trends and theories in management, and gain a true understanding of the social, economic and political forces which impact on organisations in the global business arena. A consulting project and international field trip will develop your practical skills as an international manager and enable you to use your insights from the programme to create real-world, practical managerial solutions.

You will graduate from the programme as an insightful, analytical and strategic manager, and stand out from other business school graduates with the ability to take on new and unknown challenges throughout your lifelong career in the fast-moving global business environment.

Elida Cavic

4978.jpg During my time at LSE I founded the MSc Management Society. Over the year we have organised various events sponsored by the department which have brought the students in our class together; for example we went to Lisbon for a long weekend and we had a Christmas party which was very successful. I am very pleased that the elements which attracted me to LSE, especially the international atmosphere with students from everywhere around the world have lived up to my expectations. We have created a wonderful community, fostered by the excellent facilities at LSE, including the Library. Once I complete my programme I will be working for BP in the Eurograduate Programme which consists of five years in three different European cities working in various business units and positions.
