About the course

The Mike Ilitch School of Business Master of Science in Finance is designed for both recent graduates and working professionals with a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or another quantitative field who want to advance or shift their careers. The 10-course, 30-credit degree can be completed in as little as a year of full-time study (fall, spring/summer, and winter), or five semesters on a part-time basis. Students will be equipped with tools, ideas, and frameworks to excel in careers in the dynamic field of finance. A highly accomplished finance faculty, with an excellent reputation, delivers this program.

Entry Requirements

Baccalaureate degree in business administration, a discipline area of business administration such as accounting or finance, or in a quantitative field such as mathematics, economics, physics, engineering or statistics from a regionally accredited institution
A minimum GMAT score of 550; or minimum GRE score of 155 on Quantitative Reasoning and 154 on Verbal Reasoning (*Note: This program does not offer a GMAT/GRE waiver)
Overall undergraduate GPA of 2.75, with a 3.0 major GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
Three letters of recommendation from professors or employers
