More and more, it is not enough just to be a scientist; it is vital to be able to engage people with the issues in science and technology that affect our daily lives. If you love thinking about, talking about, writing about and engaging with science, the Masters in Science Communication is perfect for you.
The UWA Masters in Science Communication offers a strong theoretical and research base combined with the opportunity to develop transferable skills in written, verbal, media, online and physical communication, and designing exhibitions and displays.
Graduates from the Masters programme go on to work in a wide range of jobs; working in science centres and museums, in media organisations, in science journalism and in policy and government. It’s also possible to go on to further research and study for a PhD in science communication.
We welcome both recent graduates in science, communication studies or journalism and professionals already working in the field who are seeking to enhance the theoretical underpinning of their work.
