Course Description

The Master of Public Health (MPH) is the most comprehensive of our Public Health programmes, incorporating the opportunity to complete an independent piece of original research. The MPH will provide the student with a thorough understanding of Public Health in the 21st century and provide an ideal foundation upon which to develop as an effective public health professional.

Entry Requirements

There are two entry routes available for this exciting course. The “Academic Entry Route” requires an undergraduate degree in a health-related field from an approved institution equivalent to a UK Honours degree or a relevant professional qualification. Students with an undergraduate degree in a non-health related field from an approved institution equivalent to a UK Honours degree plus relevant work experience will also be considered. The “Open Entry Route” requires at least 3 years' relevant work experience and an ability to study at postgraduate level, evidenced by work-based training or a CPD portfolio. IELTS (Academic) 6.5 or equivalent is also required if English is not a student’s first language. Applications will also be considered on an individual basis taking into account motivation for doing the course, prior work experience, CPD and other relevant qualifications.
