Master of Public Health (Research Methods)


Course Description

Our Master of Public Health (Research Methods) specialisation course provides graduates with a strong background for a career in public health research or practice. In particular, it provides a sound footing in the foundation units of epidemiology, biostatistics, health economics and health promotion, as well as the broader social context in which public health programmes are planned, delivered and evaluated.
This course is completed through coursework plus dissertation. It provides the opportunity for students to undertake a research dissertation in an area of public health that interests them.

Entry Requirements

Admission to the Master of Public Health (Research Methods) requires either: - a bachelor's degree from this University, or equivalent as recognised by the Faculty, or - the Graduate Certificate in Population Health Studies from this University, with a weighted average mark of at least 60%, or equivalent as recognised by the FacultyEnglish Language Competence: All UWA coursework programs have a minimum level of English language competence necessary, for both Domestic and International students.
