Master of Public Health (Practice)


Course Description

Our Master of Public Health (Practice) specialisation course provides graduates with a strong background for a career in public health research or practice. In particular, it provides a sound footing in the foundation units of epidemiology, biostatistics, health economics and health promotion, as well as the broader social context in which public health programmes are planned, delivered and evaluated.
It also provides an opportunity for the student to undertake a period of supervised practice within a public health context.
This course can be completed by:
- coursework and practicum
- coursework, practicum and project
- coursework, practicum and dissertation.

Entry Requirements

Admission to the Master of Public Health requires either: - a bachelor's degree from this University, or equivalent as recognised by the Faculty, or - the Graduate Certificate in Population Health Studies from this University, with a weighted average mark of at least 60%, or equivalent as recognised by the FacultyEnglish Language Competence: All UWA coursework programs have a minimum level of English language competence necessary, for both Domestic and International students.
