Master of Public Administration (MPA)

Course content

Today’s public administrators face challenge and change as never before. From migration and technology to globalisation, a range of issues are transforming the field of public administration. In the public, private and voluntary sectors, professionals who understand the complexities of modern government are in demand.

Our online Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree programme provides you with the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills you need to move your career forward in 21st century public administration.

Through this MPA degree’s unique approach, you will gain a thorough understanding of the processes that underpin public life, along with a global perspective and practical skills that you can apply immediately to improve people’s lives.

Each of the Roehampton Online masters programmes has been designed to help you move forward in your life and follows the same basic structure.

Every online programme is made up of seven modules and a research project. Every module lasts 12 weeks. You then have a break of approximately two weeks before resuming your studies. Your research project is much like a dissertation, in which all previous leaning culminates in an academic research paper. Modules equate to 20 academic credits while your research project carries 40 credits – but you have 26 weeks to complete that part of your programme.
