The museums and collections specialisation of the liberal arts degrees will give you a working knowledge of, and critical engagement with, a wide range of museums, cultural, and collecting institutions. The content draws from case studies provided by different institutions and ANU has formed partnerships with numerous museums and collections in Canberra including the National Museum of Australia, the Australian War Memorial, the National Portrait Gallery of Australia and the National Library of Australia. These links mean that you will have ready access to these institutions and you will remain informed of current research and issues confronting museums, galleries and other cultural and collecting institutions. You may also include courses focusing on heritage within your degree.
