This is the first course in Australia dedicated to Islamic banking and finance. It is built around a defined body of knowledge of proven relevance to the Islamic finance industry, aiming to train students in the technical skills in demand by global Islamic capital markets and institutions. The program seeks to meet the growing need for graduates with sound academic and industry knowledge in Islamic finance in the Middle East and South East Asia, particularly in the Gulf Cooperation Countries, Indonesia and Malaysia. Graduates should have expertise in Islamic banking, Islamic insurance and Islamic capital markets, and be well prepared to enter the growing Islamic finance sector in Australia.
Australian Bachelor degree with C grade average in the final year, or equivalent.
Indicative (2012): $19,110 per 120 credit points.
