Christoph Tattyrek

First lured by our “good weather, great beaches and awesome people”, then wowed by the academic and Macquarie experience.

International business student Christoph Tattyrek had five years of work experience behind him when he was given a year’s study leave from the workplace.

“My dream was to study in an academically sound English-speaking country that offers lots of things to see and do, like surfing, hiking many others,” says Christoph. These fundamentals were answered in abundance; yet, now, it’s the whole Macquarie package that’s the highlight.

Our Master of International Business has been Christoph’s passport to an exciting career, greater choices and opportunities of a lifetime. His personal transformation has also been recognised, with Christoph now responsible for a wider range of projects and tasks at Telekom Austria.

“The academic and cultural benefits I achieved at Macquarie are tremendous. Back at home, I have fine-tuned my skills from the real-life insights I gained from the program,” says Christoph.

Christoph speaks extremely highly of the inspiring teachers at Macquarie, and singles out student administration. “I heard great things about the student support and experienced first hand fantastic assistance while I was overseas and on campus.”

A special memory for Christoph is the friendships he made at Macquarie – friends that he continues to catch-up via our connected world.

Christoph’s exchange with a world-class university has opened doors and raised his employability prospects to amazing levels. Christoph will use his Macquarie degree to facilitate his further career on an international level – some great opportunities for his next move have already surfaced.

Martin Dieste

After finishing my Bachelor of Arts in International Management in Germany and working full time for approximately 1.5 years, I felt that obtaining a masters degree would be essential for my future career.

I was impressed by the different elective units on offer at Macquarie and the opportunity to add research projects. Crucial factor was that I could complete the degree within one year.

The international environment that I have encountered is perfect to establish an international network that might be of great value for my future career.
