About the course

The Master of Higher Education degree is designed for teachers in the higher education sector who wish to study higher education teaching and learning. The qualification requires 12 months full-time study and includes courses in teaching, learning, academic leadership and research methods. There is a research-based project concerned with an improvement initiative related to the teacher’s professional practice.

Entry Requirements

Every applicant must be a graduate with an average grade of at least B+ in the 300-level requirements for the degree; or hold a postgraduate qualification at an equivalent standard; or have alternative qualifications or experience acceptable to the Interdivisional Board of Studies; and
normally be a tertiary teacher.

Admission to the programme shall be subject to the approval of the Convener of the Interdivisional Board of Studies in Higher Education.
