About the course

The Master of Finance is a programme for recent graduates or young professionals aspiring to be finance experts. To ensure that the programme meets the needs of all our students, two first semester tracks have been created: "Finance Immersion" and "Business" tracks.

Entry Requirements

- First university degree (Bachelor or Diploma) of at least 180 ECTS credits, irrelevant of discipline,
- Excellent written and spoken English (TOEFL iBT 90, ITP 577 / IELTS 7.0 or equivalent),
- Valid GMAT / GRE score or Frankfurt School Admission Test,
- Successful admissions interview.

Scholarships

The Klaus-Peter Müller Scholarship was introduced through a generous one million Euros donation by Professor Dr. h.c. Klaus-Peter Müller, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Commerzbank AG and Honorary Chairman of the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management Foundation.

Full and partial scholarships will be awarded to cover the tuition fee.

Scholarships will initially be awarded for 2 semesters only (one semester for applicants who join in the summer semester) which will be reviewed after this time. Scholarships can be reduced or retracted if the scholarship holder does not meet the required expectations.

Klaus-Peter Müller scholarship holders are expected to support the school as an FS ambassador and actively contribute to the Frankfurt School community. Following graduation, engagement as a FS alumnus is expected as well as relative financial support towards the scholarship pool.

Eligibility

Eligibility:
- attend a full-time Master's or MBA programme,
- are from the German-speaking region (applicants connected to the region may also be considered),
- are not able to self-fund their studies and
- have performed exceptionally well throughout their previous studies, both academically and personally.

Application Procedure

The scholarship must be applied for within the online application process, where the applicant is required to answer the scholarship-specific questions and provide supporting documents to verify eligibility. Additionally, applicants will have to submit a motivational letter expressing how they actively plan to contribute to Frankfurt School and the FS community.

The scholarship will be awarded as part of Frankfurt School admissions process. Therefore, the scholarship application deadline is the same as the specific programme application deadline (end of June for the pre-experience master programmes and end of July for the Frankfurt MBA). Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

The selection criteria include:
- the average grade of the first degree(s),
- performance in Frankfurt School application process,
- personal attributes (motivation, engagement, extracurricular activities) and
- the applicant’s financial and family background.
If qualifications are equal, preference will be given to applicants from large families.
All applications to the Klaus-Peter Müller Scholarship must be completed in German.

The scholarship committee will award each scholarship on an individual basis. There is no legal right to claim a scholarship.

The STIBET programme, funded by the Auswärtiges Amt (Federal Foreign Office) and the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), provides financial support to international degree-seeking students.

The scholarships are open to students who are not German citizens, have a foreign university entrance qualification recognised by the German authorities and have successfully passed the assessment procedure.

Four scholarships in total will be awarded to students in the MoF, MiM and MADS programmes. Each scholarship comprises a cost-of-living subsidy of EUR 600 monthly from September to January.

Eligibility

Frankfurt School awards a total of four STIBET III Matching Funds scholarships for new international Master's students in the following study programmes:
- Master of Finance (MoF)
- Master in Management (MiM)
- Master in Applied Data Science (MADS)

Application Procedure

Selection criteria for all programmes include candidates’ academic results (grade of first degree), performance in the GMAT (or equivalent), and extra-curricular achievements.

It is not necessary to submit a separate application for a scholarship. All applications for admission to one of the eligible programmes that have been submitted by 30 June will be considered automatically. A Frankfurt School committee selects the scholarship winners by the end of July based on the same criteria used for admission. The committee’s decision is final, and candidates have no legal entitlement to a scholarship. Students who receive other scholarships or support from their employer towards the cost of tuition are not eligible for this scholarship.

The Frankfurt Institute for Risk Management and Regulation (FIRM) will sponsor partial scholarships for up to two semester fees for selected Master of Finance students in the Risk Management concentration.

Frankfurt School awards the Risk Management scholarships continuously throughout the admission process on a “first come, first serve” basis. Therefore, we recommend applying as soon as possible.

The scholarships will be awarded on an individual basis, and the decision is final; applicants have no legal entitlement to a scholarship.

Eligibility

In order to be considered for the scholarships, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Excellent undergraduate degree.
- Admission to the Master of Finance programme at Frankfurt School and having chosen the Risk Management concentration.
- No financial support by an employer covering more than 25% of the tuition fee.

Application Procedure

To be considered for a scholarship, applicants have to answer the respective question in the scholarship section of the online application of the Master of Finance programme. Completed applications have to be submitted by 30 June. Subsequent scholarship applications will not be considered.
