This degree will give you advanced study across the breadth of specialisations in civil engineering. It is designed to extend and deepen your knowledge and skills gained from an undergraduate degree in civil engineering.
It is ideal for professional civil engineers who aspire to develop their design skills and advance their capabilities to analyse and solve structural problems across a wide range of real world civil engineering applications.

Language requirements
English language requirements apply to International applicants and other applicants whose previous study was undertaken in a language other than English. The minimum English language requirements for such applicants for entry to this program are as follows:
*A minimum score of 575 on TOEFL
*OR an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 79 (no sub-score less than 19)
*OR a minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0
*OR no score less than 3+ in each skill of the ISLPR (conducted by ISLPR Language Services only)
*OR a minimum grade of C on the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
*OR a minimum grade of C on the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
*OR an overall score of 61 in the Pearson Test of English (Academic) with a minimum of 54 in all Communicative Skills.

English test results must be no more than two years old.

My career opportunities
You will be prepared for a wide range of senior roles in the building, construction, infrastructure, and mining industries undertaking projects for a variety of public and private sector clients. More specifically, you will provide structural analysis and design services to engineering projects such as roads, bridges, tunnels, water distribution networks and high-rise buildings.
Given the current shortage of civil engineering graduates and experienced civil engineers in Australia, coupled with the huge investment in infrastructure projects nationally and internationally, this degree will enable recently qualified engineering graduates to improve their specialist technical skills.
