Master of Business (Specialisation)


Course Description

Introduction
The Master of Business (Specialisation) provides a flexible schedule of postgraduate coursework units offered by the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics to allow you to tailor your postgraduate studies to your own interests and then specialise in a particular area.
The course is full fee-paying, which means that you will be charged at the full fee-paying rate listed for each unit. Fees are listed in the unit descriptions.

Professional Recognition
There is no single, relevant, professional body, as the units in this degree will be specifically chosen to meet the educational needs of individual students. However, depending upon the choice of units, students may gain membership of bodies such as the Australian Human Resources Institute and the Australian Marketing Institute.

Prerequisites
For entry into all postgraduate courses, international students must provide an IELTS test score of at least Band 6 with a minimum of 6.0 on all bands or a TOEFL score of 575 with a Test of Written English score of no less than 4.5. English Language Requirements
International applicants will be required to provide evidence of their English language ability.
For those applicants who are nationals of and currently residing in a country where English is NOT the official language, evidence of an IELTS or TOEFL test must be provided.
Alternatively, applicants can provide evidence that English has been the sole medium of instruction and examination in their most recent studies, for a minimum of 2 years, and within the last 24 months. Academic transcripts and a letter from your institution will be required.

Completed an undergraduate degree of an Australian higher education institution or the equivalent standard in any other institution; completed the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration of the University of Tasmania or an equivalent award of another Australian higher education institution; completed the Graduate Certificate in Business of the University of Tasmania or an equivalent award of another Australian higher education institution.
