The MBA (Graduate) delivered at Canterbury Christ Church University will help you gain insights into the latest trends in international business, as well as UK private and public sector organisations.

With the experience of our leading team of University researchers and professional practice tutors, we will ensure the MBA (Graduate) programme maintains a pragmatic focus to enhance your new business career.

The course brings together theory and practice. We endeavour to work closely with regional businesses and there is an emphasis on work related learning and employability. For your third semester ‘management project’, you will carry out either a work related learning project, or a policy based study about a given industry sector.

The MBA (Graduate) at Canterbury has been designed for recent graduates (with little or no work experience) from all disciplines who want to embark upon a career within the public, private and independent sectors in the UK and abroad. An MBA (Graduate) is a Masters degree in business and is viewed as a key marketing asset for job hunters and a major developmental achievement for those progressing up the career ladder.

Core modules are:

  • Strategy and Globalisation
  • International Culture and Communication
  • Global Economics and Finance
  • Intercultural Leadership and Personal Development
  • Innovation, Entrepreneurship and the International Perspective
  • Work Related Learning and Employability
  • Research Methods
  • Management Project

Teaching is made up primarily of interactive workshops, group discussion and project work. The programme encourages you to reflect on your own experience and to apply your learning to real and relevant organisational contexts. Most staff delivering the course are senior lecturers (with PhD’s).

There will also be a number of visiting speakers, encouraging contact and learning from managers and practitioners with up-to-date expertise who work in a range of organisations in the public and private sectors.

Learning is supporting by our Virtual Learning Environment (Blackboard).
