Master of Arts (MA) in Psychotherapy

Course Description

The Master of Arts (MA) in Psychotherapy aims to meet the needs of individuals who wish to train as professional Psychotherapists. The course is designed for graduates from Counselling and Psychotherapy related disciplines that are seeking academic skills and research training. The MA course provides students with research skills and experience for those who would like to carry out research in any area of Counselling and Psychotherapy, either at PhD level or in the private sector.

Holders of the MA in Psychotherapy will be eligible to seek employment in the following areas:

Primary/Social Care settings

Educational settings

Entry Requirements

A minimum Second Class Honours (2.2) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from a recognised third level institution, or have equivalent professional qualifications, and an IELTS score of 6.5
