About the course

The MA 3D Design is aimed at both recently qualified and experienced practitioners in a three-dimensional design field such as Product or Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Interior Design, Architecture or similar, who wish to further their education through a Practice Based Masters. Candidates would normally be expected to come to the MA with a research interest which might form a starting point for their major project.

The programme is run by the School of Art & Design at TU Dublin and offers a unique opportunity for focussed study in an interdisciplinary environment that mixes studio practice with intellectual, theoretical and historical inquiry.

Entry Requirements

Bachelor Degree (Honours 2.1 or above) in relevant disciplines.

If English is not your first language you will need to provide evidence of your English language proficiency as detailed on our website. Applicants for this programme should have a minimum IELTS (Academic Version) English Proficiency of 6 overall (or equivalent) with nothing less than 6 in each component.

Applicants are required to include a portfolio of relevant art/design work and a one-page research proposal with their application.
