About the course
As a society, we have entered an age of digitisation – the fourth industrial revolution, or Industry 4.0. This puts new demands on future engineers. With training central to the development of smart factories, including automation, industry robots and simulation technology, you will be keenly sought after. This two-year programme is taught in virtual environments (distance learning) and all your studies have a close link to industry.
WORK INTEGRATED LEARNING
University West is Sweden's leading university when it comes to work-integrated learning (WIL). The university was tasked with the development of WIL by the Swedish government 15+ years ago and continues to lead the field today.
Entry Requirements
Bachelor of Science in computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering and management. Additionally, the degree must be comprised of a minimum of 5 credits in programming and 15 credits in mathematics.

Awarding procedure
The scholarship committee is overall responsible for the principles of the scholarships and decides every year on how to distribute the funds available, the structure of the scholarships and which students will be awarded.
The departments/faculties rank applicants based on the criteria listed below and present their choices to the scholarship committee. The committee makes the final decision.

§ Applicant’s motivation for being part of the programme
§ Applicant's priority of the programme in the national application round
§ Relevant projects, internships, international exposure and work experience
A decision made by the scholarship committee is not open for appeal.
Value of Scholarship(s)
25% of the tuition fee
Eligibility
§ Citizens of a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland who pay tuition fees
§ Admitted to an on-campus master’s programme at University West
§ Motivation letter submitted with programme application
§ The application fee and supporting documents received before the deadline
§ The scholarship is only available for on-campus programmes. The scholarship is not available for distance learning programmes
Application Procedure
Students applying for a master’s programme starting fall 2021 can apply for a University West scholarship until 1 February 2020 on the university's website.
Scholarship applicants will be notified about the scholarship committee’s decision on mid April 2021.
A decision made by the scholarship committee is not open for appeal.
