“I encourage everyone who’s interested in Environmental and Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Environmental Policy to apply. CII is a true ‘hidden gem’! ”

Michele Padovan

Since I was in Elementary school, Science fascinated me. Laboratory classes and the habit to watch documentaries leaded me to achieve my degree in Biological Sciences. After I obtained my first degree in Biology, working at the Institute of Tropical Medicine of University of Sao Paulo I heard about the MSc Program from Harvard School of Public Health in association with Cyprus University of Technology. So I decided to apply since the thought of get a Master degree was latent. The desire of working with Public Health leaded me in to apply. Through this MSc program in Environmental and Public Health I had the chance to develop my knowledge and become familiar with different scientific approaches such as Risk Assessment analysis, Exposure Assessment, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Toxicology, Environmental Law, Occupational Health, Genetics and Public Health.
The multidisciplinary and multicultural experience that I had in Cyprus was unforgettable.
At CII I made amazing friends that I will carry for the rest of my life, and I was privileged to attend classes with world-renowned Professors which were also inspiring people to us.
In 2012 I gained my Master degree and came back to Brazil with more accurate abilities and skills but my enthusiasm and need to start a new project. Now I am a 2nd year phD student from the Faculty of Medicine of University of Sao Paulo, and currently I am doing the second half of my research in the UK, at Queen Mary University of London with the major reference of my Research.
I highly recommend CII and its Programs to prospective students.
Good luck guys and enjoy this unique opportunity!

Pia Mhanna and Antoine Gegrayel

My husband Antoine Gebrayel and I are both master graduates of CII. Studying Environmental and Public health in the Cyprus International Institute was such a nice, memorable and once-in- a lifetime experience on all aspects.
Antoine Gebrayel and I are both so grateful to the privilege that this program offered us. Starting from the experienced professors (both CII and Harvard), going to the various courses that we took and the rich program. We were exposed to a lot of topics and learnt a lot. In addition, Antoine and I will never forget the beautiful country Cyprus, the memorable moments with our friends there, and the fun we had.
Overall, we think it was an amazing experience and encourage new students to take the most of it.
