Master in Fashion, Experience & Design Management

Course Description

A 12-month full-time and full-immersion international Program aimed at the culture of result oriented creativity, which implies coping with the unlimited imagination of creative people, your awareness of the beautiful and original, and the constraints of timing and the fickleness of consumers.
As a future manager in the fashion, luxury and design-based industries, Milan gives you better opportunities in these industrial fields than anywhere else.

The structure is strongly cross-disciplinary. SDA Bocconi's strong partnership with business communities ensures the perfect blend of art, craft and science that is the essence of fashion and design.
The MAFED program consists of: general management courses, specialized courses on Fashion, Design & Experience Management, field projects and advanced seminars. Students without a business background may attend pre-courses before the beginning of the program.
Completing the course students will possess a solid understanding of business and marketing planning and control tools being able to apply advanced product, brand, retail management techniques within a fast-moving and global business environment.

For those who do not have a business background the Master starts in November: with Pre-courses, establishing and creating a common managerial platform among participants.

FIELD PROJECTS June - November
Starting from June participants are asked to apply theories learned in class into real life. In company group projects cover several corporate aspects and functions (brand positioning, pricing, entry into new markets, etc.).

The total fee for the 2013 edition is € 27,000 (twenty seven thousand), to be paid in four instalments:

1st Instalment € 8,000 on Confirmation of Admission

2nd Instalment € 8,000 within and no later than 16th January 2013

3rd Instalment € 5,500 within and no later than 19th March 2013

4th Instalment € 5,500 within and no later than 21st May 2013



Candidates are recommended to get financial aid in their own countries or from international institutions. If there are financial difficulties, it is possible to apply for a Tuition Waiver.
SDA Bocconi School of Management is making available a limited number of Tuition Waivers fully or partially covering tuition fees.

To apply for these grants candidates must complete the Tuition Waiver Application Form.
To be eligible for the scholarships and tuition waivers applicants must:
• Have sent the application to MAFED;
• Look at the requisites required for each tuition waiver available on MAFED website;
• Send the Tuition Waiver Application Form (one for each tuition waiver).


Tuition Waivers for the 2013 edition

SDA Bocconi School of Management MAFED is making available 2 total/partial merit-based tuition waivers to 2013 MAFED candidates with an outstanding profile, who have regularly applied, producing all required documentation (Application Form, Toefl or Ielts, Reference letters) within the deadline (13th July 2012).

The assignment criteria of total or partial tuition waivers are defined and acknowledged by a special Commission whose decision is final and will be notified to beneficiaries by 5th October 2012.


Entry Requirements

• Application form submission• University degree in any discipline or equivalent level qualification• 2 years of professional experience;• Fluent English: candidates who are not of English mother-tongue are required to take the TOEFL or IELTS • Italian language instruction: although the program is mostly in English, participants not fluent in Italian should take an Italian course for beginners during the first part of the program.
