How is management changing? How do the actions of managers impact society, the economy and the political environment?

This course is perfect if you do not have a first degree in business, or relevant work experience, but want to study management to improve your employability.

You study a broad range of managerial disciplines and examine how they relate to the wider political, social and economic context. We explore the key challenges facing management today, including debates around corporate ethics, sustainability, governance and social responsibility. You graduate not just with the ability to excel in a management career, but with the capacity to shape organisations for the better.

Topics may include:
-Human resource management
-Operations and supply chain management
-Financial decision making
-Business strategy

You also have the opportunity to develop expertise in a chosen area of management, putting theory into practice by conducting a case study of the performance of an organisation.

MSc Management is taught at Essex Business School, champions of responsible management and sustainable business. We’re ranked in the UK’s top 20 by the Chartered Association of Business Schools and in the top 25 in the UK for research excellence (REF 2014). As an internationally diverse school, our students and staff join us from across the globe.

You can also study this course part-time and you may be eligible for scholarships and discounts, including those for students joining us from overseas. Postgraduate loans for Masters courses are now available from the Student Loans Company, worth up to £10,000, for students from the UK and EU.
