Our MSc in Management is designed for graduates with little or no business experience. It will provide you with management knowledge and skills to complement a non-business background.
The course lasts 12 months and is divided into two semesters and a summer period. Semester 1 introduces core areas of management such as Marketing, Business Economics and Operations. In Semester 2, you will be able to specialise by choosing optional units that interest you. Over the summer you’ll put taught concepts into practice. You’ll choose between a dissertation or managerial projects with both profit and non-profit organisations.
We also provide you with guidance on your career choices and help you develop the skills and abilities you need to achieve your career goals. You will enjoy various timetabled and optional career activities during the year. You’ll also select from a variety of optional ways to improve your CV and find the right job for you.

Our MSc in Management is a full-time degree that lasts 12 months.
It is divided into two semesters and the summer period which runs from June to September. Each semester includes five taught units.
Semester one, core units:
Marketing; Business economics; Fundamentals of accounting and financial management; Human resource management; operations management.
Semester two, core units:
Methods of management research

In order to graduate with one of these specialisms, you must choose certain units in Semester 2 and complete your dissertation or practice track within the same specialism.
If you select optional units across a range of subject areas, you will graduate with a general MSc in Management.
In the final three months of the degree you can choose the dissertation track or practice track.
The dissertation is a 9,000-12,000 word piece of individual research, supervised by a member of faculty. You will plan and execute your own project, using techniques learned throughout the year.
The practice track is a team project that allows you to work with one of our partner organisations to solve a real business challenge. You will apply the theory and skills you have learned to a practical issue and present your work to the company.
