The MSc in Management (Marketing) pathway is for students interested in the challenges of global marketing activities and who would like to build a career within a marketing field. This Management pathway allows students to pursue specialist topics such as international consumer behaviour and marketing research. 


Modules on the Management (Marketing) may include:

  • Dissertation- The module aims to bring together all elements of the MSc in Management (Marketing) by requiring students to apply what they have learnt during the programme in a real world organisation.
  • Managing Financial Resources- This module provides Management (Marketing) students with an introduction to accounting.
  • Human Resource Management- This module in Management (Marketing) critically evaluates the claim that the firm can achieve a sustained competitive advantage through its human resource with the implementation of Human Resource Management (HRM).
  • Marketing Management- The purpose of this module in Management (Marketing) is to teach students how to analyse markets and buyers' behaviour.
  • Operations Management- This Management (Marketing) module aims to provide students an appreciation for both the qualitative and the quantitative aspects of Operations Management.
  • Strategy- This module in Management (Marketing) provides an introduction to the basic frameworks and concepts used in modern business.
  • Consumer Behaviour- The Management (Marketing) module is designed to examine key factors influencing consumer behaviour (e.g. the psychological core, culture and social issues, decision making processes, innovation). It will explore different methods and/or approaches to understand consumers and discuss implications to marketing management. 
  • Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC)- The Management (Marketing) module enables students to study essential concepts with in the IMC subject area; to build coherent and consistent brand images; and, to apply to theoretical knowledge into practical skills.
  • Research Methods- This module in Management (Marketing) will provide an introduction to the fundamentals of research methods and methodologies to better prepare students on how to conduct a dissertation.

The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) is the only chartered professional body in the UK dedicated to promoting the highest standards in management and leadership excellence. By undertaking the Management (Marketing) course, upon graduation, you will receive a CMI level 7 Certificate.

Location and Facilities

The Bay Campus is situated in an outstanding location on the eastern approach into Swansea, with direct access onto the beach and its own seafront promenade. The campus features modern and bright student accommodation, including standard, premium, twin and wheelchair accessible rooms.

  • Central support services for students housed within the Tower Information Centre.
