The Management (Entrepreneurship) MSc will help you learn how to apply entrepreneurship and innovation when introducing a new service, product or business venture.
During the course you’ll be working on case studies and live client projects. There’s also an option of paid work experience which will help you put the latest academic thinking and business strategies into practice as you prepare for future management roles.
Full-time students also have the option to add work experience to their Masters through a year’s paid placement in industry.
Initially, you will complete the same core modules as on other management courses. At the end of term two you will then be able to specialise in one of three areas, or continue on a more general route toward our Management

Normally a 2:2 honours degree or equivalent is required. Work experience is useful but not essential. Applicants with non-standard entry qualifications will be considered. If you are unsure whether you meet the entry requirements then please contact us.
International students who need help meeting the academic entry requirements should contact our International College.
Applicants who hold an HND or Foundation degree equivalent can take our nine-month Business BSc top-up degree and then progress onto this masters degree.
English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each element.

I decided to do my Masters at the University of Brighton based on recommendations from students who have completed their education at Brighton Business School. Brighton is a cosmopolitan coastal city that offers the perfect work-life balance for students and young professionals who want to make the most of their tertiary education experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the course and decided to stay on to pursue a PhD. The course was very well designed. Striking a balance between the theoretical and practical elements of management is a delicate task and the course achieved that with carefully structured modules and by incorporating taught elements based on real businesses.
My favourite aspects of the course were the diverse demographics of the students, the group work and presentations which simulate the real-life business environment; the opportunity to work as part of a group with such a diverse coalition of students was a humbling and invaluable experience and the study visit and placement option with other international business schools provide the students with an additional perspective on postgraduate management education.
Upon completion of the course, I stayed on to pursue a PhD whilst working as a self employed Broadcast Media Consultant and Contractor. Brighton Business School provided me with high quality teaching and helped me to establish a strong foundation for both my PhD and professional life.

Why did you choose to do a Masters at Brighton?
“I had been working as a Human Resource Management officer in the Ministry of Finance in Thailand. I won a scholarship to do a Masters degree. I searched a lot of universities but chose Brighton’s course because it offered a public services management course in the business school and not in public administration. I was attracted by the fact that Brighton’s course applied to the practice of all of the management functions.”
How did the course help your career?
“The course opened my mind so I did not just see experience from a Thai perspective. It helped me to see things from the perspectives of different places in the world. I learned from the opinions and points of view of my classmates of other nationalities on the course.”
What did you find most useful from the course?
“The course also increased my knowledge of how public services are managed in England and in other parts of Europe. In my previous studies I was only assessed by tests. But on Brighton’s MSc Management I learned a lot from the varied and different assessments. I learned by doing research, and from the case study examples in the course.”
“My learning was not limited to the classroom. I also learned from the course experiences visiting companies and talking to practicing managers. The tutor-led study visits to companies were particularly useful experiences.”
