Cultivate your managerial expertise with a specialised focus on global supply chains, operations and projects. You will gain valuable knowledge of international management practices and the logistics of trading across borders, with the option to study the impact of sustainable supply chains.
You could develop a particular specialism when writing and researching your dissertation, refining your knowledge to match your career ambitions, or you could be chosen to work on a live consultancy project, which will foster your links with prospective employers and give you the chance to put your theoretical grounding into practice.

Our University welcomes applications from mature applicants who demonstrate academic potential. We usually require some evidence of recent academic study, for example completion of an access course, however recent relevant work experience may also be considered. Please note that for some of our professional courses all applicants will need to meet the specified entry criteria and in these cases work experience cannot be considered in lieu.
Please note that all applicants to our University are required to meet our standard English language requirement of GCSE grade C or equivalent, variations to this will be listed on the individual course entry requirements.

Indicative Core Modules
Corporate Strategy Develop a strategic organisational perspective as well as a basis for progression and application of strategic level skills, competencies, and decision-making capability.
Project Management You will learn to apply and use project management tools and techniques, including relevant software, and will develop transferable employability project skills. Students will learn to deliver projects on time, on budget and to the right standard.
Entrepreneurship This module explores a range of entrepreneurship theories and practices and involves an in-depth critical examination of business start-ups, the experiences of entrepreneurs and key aspects of small business management.
Dissertation You will carry out an in-depth research project in a subject area that is appropriate to the course and of particular interest to you.
Consultancy Project As an alternative to your dissertation, you could be selected to apply your learning to a real organisational issue of strategic level across any relevant business and management disciplines.

Global Supply Chain You'll be introduced to the supply chain concept by observing a variety of companies and how they are changing their business practices to achieve corporate objectives in the current economic climate.
Green Logistics Understand the numerical methods required for professional planning of procurement, logistics and operations areas of supply chains. You will study buying right quantities, ensuring ample financial, human and logistical resources are available while maintaining maximum organisational profit.
Business Process Operations Management Enhance your understanding of how evaluating, managing and improving business processes in a range of settings drives the performance of an organisation.
