About the course
Build essential skills in magazine journalism by learning to produce online and print publications. Our Magazine Journalism MA also requires you to take up to seven weeks of relevant work experience, giving valuable practical experience and potentially the first step of a career.

Benefits of this course
We aim to give you a versatile mix of skills. This covers everything from writing short news stories, long form investigative features and arts and culture reviews to producing profile pieces, podcasts and editing pictures and video. You also gain confidence in designing and subbing print and online pages.
Entry Requirements
You should hold an upper second class honours degree or the equivalent from an international institution.
You should also have a minimum of two weeks’ work experience in magazines or newspapers. This includes professional online publications and regional media. Student journalism or self published journalism, such as a good quality blog, is also considered relevant and may be enough to secure a place on the MA.
