This practice-based course considers photography within contemporary international society. You will examine the exciting, and at times challenging, cultural and contextual dialogues surrounding your practice. We'll provide high-level production workshops which will strengthen and extend your own photography within today's visual culture. You will produce your own plan, a Learning Agreement, showing how you wish to develop your practice as a professional photographer or academic researcher.

You will engage with either new technologies or traditional photography, or a mix of both, but you should aim to update and challenge your pre-existing skillset. The resulting photographic practice can be for whatever purpose you choose; art, commercial, documentary, fashion, landscape, moving image or perhaps something experimental.

Our Photography staff team have expertise across a wide range of specialist photographic practices, and will support you with flexible and responsive teaching.
