Early Childhood is a unique phase in the life of a child and, as such, requires a great deal of knowledge and expertise from those working in the sector. Our MA in Early Childhood aims to support you to develop an in-depth understanding of a wide range of topics related to early childhood.
Our MA in Early Childhood is designed to meet the interests of a wide range of participants from nurseries, schools, universities, colleges and local authorities, as well as professionals working with young children outside of education – for example in children’s services and health and social care.

Applicants should normally hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of a 2:1 classification in an area broadly related to early childhood. Those with a degree in a different area but with significant experience of working in early childhood settings will also be considered, as will those holding a PGCE. Applicants with a 2:2 degree may also be considered if they can demonstrate, on application, their ability to work at Level 7.
