MA New Media and Society


Course Description

The MA in New Media and Society aims to provide students with a comprehensive grounding in the development of new media technologies, their applications, and their political, social and psychological impact. Legal, regulatory, social and cultural issues linked to the internet will all form part of the course content. It will focus on new media-related developments that have occurred all round the world. The course will further examine real-world applications of the internet in different contexts and consider different theoretical perspectives for understanding the adoption, use and impact of information and communication technologies.

Entry Requirements

A good second class honours degree in any discipline, though a Social Science degree would be particulary relevant.
