A career in law beckoned for Tim Long after he graduated from university with a degree in law. That was until his lifelong ambition of being a sports journalist and football commentator proved too strong a dream to ignore. Tim took a year out of studying to travel. “Driving through the Rocky Mountains last summer I fi nally decided that I would follow my childhood dream of football commentary. An MA at my hometown university was the logical option to get started.” After enrolling on the MA Sports Journalism at the University of Lincoln, Tim is beginning to see his dreams fulfilled. He co-presents a weekly sports show on Siren FM, is writing for the Australian magazine Soccer International, he has also written for a South African magazine Kick Off and his final project, a radio documentary, is to be broadcast by ABC Australia. Oh yes! Tim has also fulfilled that life-long dream, he is a football commentator with the Perform Group.
