We’re renowned for delivering high-quality social work training. This accredited programme is ranked 11th in the UK for Social Work (Complete University Guide 2017). On completion, you will be eligible to apply to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) to register as a social worker.
The course maintains a strong emphasis on practice- and research-informed learning. It comprises 623 hours of structured academic teaching and learning, 30 days of professional skills development, and two practice learning placements of 70 and 100 days.
This programme is suitable for you whether you’re a recent graduate, gained your first degree some time ago and have been working in social care, or are ready for a career change. Our graduates are highly sought after and have moved into social work roles in a variety of statutory, voluntary and private organisations. 98% of graduates completing the destinations survey are in graduate level work or further study (DEHLE 2012-14)
