Course content

The Islamic Banking, Finance and Management programme aims to develop a critical and analytical approach to economics, banking and management informed by an Islamic perspective and provide a greater awareness of Islamic values and principles, through their application in management and financial institutions. Compulsory modules are Foundations of Islamic Economics; Islamic Banking: Theory and Practice; Islamic Financial Instruments: Research Methodology; Dissertation into a specialist area. Optional Modules include International Development and Finance; International Management; Financial Systems: Markets and Institutions; The History of Economic Thought; Regulation and Governance of Islamic Finance; Law of Contracts for Islamic Finance, Quantitative Financial methods.
