About the course

This program focuses on the history of the modern Middle East and includes intensive Literary Arabic study. Students deepen their knowledge of this dynamic region and gain insight into the different aspects of the Middle East: society, politics, religion, language, and culture. Courses are also available in the pre-modern history of the Middle East and the cultural legacy of Islamic societies.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree from an internationally accredited university with a minimum 3.2 (B) average or the equivalent. Applicants must also have a demonstrated knowledge of the English language.


The tuition fee includes the cost of the program, health insurance, and the option to study Modern Hebrew language intensively during the autumn and spring semesters (provided that it does not conflict with students’ required M.A. courses).
Housing is not included in the tuition fee.
