MA in International Security and Terrorism

Course Description

This exciting programme exposes students to issues in international security as well as the specialised field of terrorism. The course investigates international security and terrorism since the ending of the Cold War, whilst making clear how the issues raised are embedded within the broader field of international relations. The course emphasises three elements: the theoretical underpinnings of the study of international security and terrorism, the main empirical problems of security and terrorism in the present age and the opportunity to study security and terrorism issues in detailed optional modules.
