We've been helping students find the right postgraduate course for over a decade.
This course involves combining communication studies, applied linguistics, international management and intercultural communication.
Economic globalisation and rapid developments in ICT mean that many organisations now operate on an international scale, or at the very least interact with consumers, clients and/or partner organisations in other countries. Even ‘local’ companies and organisations may have a multicultural workforce, or offer their services or products abroad. As a result, communication has become increasingly international and intercultural.
Organisations seek to create communication strategies that support their overall strategy and objectives. In doing so, they need to interact with stakeholders who may have a variety of linguistic and cultural backgrounds. These

I learned first about Radboud University from my Russian peer who acted as the University ambassador during an education fair in Moscow. The Nuffic Neso office in Moscow provided complete information on the higher education in the Netherlands and I was surprised by the fact that the Netherlands offers the widest range of English-taught degree programmes in Europe after the UK.
My primary criteria for the university choice were a content and quality of a programme. IBC Master’s programme is a challenging and intense programme that I found to fit my needs. There are very few such programmes in Europe I managed to find that could offer an interdisciplinary approach and well-balanced curriculum in terms of courses offering theoretical insights and hands-on experience. Another important aspect for me was a strong research focus of a programme. Being a constant learner by nature, I’ve always been curious to look beyond my work scope or tasks and my mind has always been open to new ways of thinking. Therefore at some point of my career I realized the need to immerse myself into academic environment to have my analytical and research skills advanced to a new qualitative level in an intercultural setting. All these I found at IBC Master’s programme at Radboud University.
The curriculum spanned the complete range of courses that equipped me with solid theoretical knowledge based on which I can develop my professional competencies. Moreover, each course maintains a “global” or cross-cultural perspective. That way, I learned a lot about how global and multinational companies build their corporate strategies worldwide, how multinational organizations handle their internal corporate communications, or how consumer perceptions of company communications differ across borders. Even the course in statistical analysis provides insight into how respondents from different cultures may vary in their response styles. On top of all that, during my programme I’ve learned which factors may impact or even predict attitudes or behavior of individuals in different cultures. This is really exciting! It is even more so as I naturally apply this knowledge to my everyday life phenomena and events. Many things about my own culture, people, even friends are now perceived by me differently - in the way that I can answer now many “Why” questions and explain rationale behind many things. I am sure that my experience at Radboud Uniersity will shape all what I will be doing in my future career.
