I am Mohammed Rabiu Abubakari, from Tamale, Ghana. I acquired Bachelor of Science Degree in Planning at the University for Development Studies, Tamale (Wa Campus) in 2013. I worked in the Urban Development Unit of the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Ghana as a National Service Person for the 2013/2014 service year, and afterward worked as a volunteer in the same capacity until my enrollment at Binghamton University to pursue a Masters Degree in Geography.
My hobbies include dancing.

I was born and raised in Peru. Moved to the US when I was 13 and started 7th grade in Minisink Valley, Slate Hill, NY. After graduated from high school, I attended SUNY Geneseo where I received a B.A. In 2013, after graduating college, I was able to obtain a teaching position in Middletown Christian School. I worked there until this year where I moved to Binghamton to start my graduate career.
I enjoy playing table tennis and soccer.

I was born and raised in Russia. I graduated from the Kurgan State Academy of Agriculture in Russia with a joint Bachelor and Master's degree in Accounting, Economic Analysis and Audit. For three years I've been working in Russia in the local governmental organization responsible for economical and environmental planning of local communities and policy-making of the Kurgan region. In 2014 I participated in the International Forum for young professionals in Paris, France.
I enjoy travelling, reading, and belly-dancing.

I was born and raised in the City of Binghamton and received my BA from Binghamton University in 2013. After taking some time off, I officially started my Master's Degree program at Binghamton in the Fall of 2014. I recently started working as a Planner with the Broome County Department of Planning and Economic Development. I hope to finish my degree this winter or next spring and continue working with the local government to implement change throughout the Broome County.
When I am not working or studying, I like to spend time with my cat Max, taking walks on the riverwalk, and reading about local and national news.

I am a second year Masters student and completed my Bachelor of Science in Geography from Penn State in 2014. My current research focuses on the geovisualization and cartographic representation of mitigation strategy impacts for near-field tsunamis that are generated along the Cascadia Subduction Zone in the Pacific Northwest. While not working, I enjoy playing racquetball and meeting new people.

I grew up in Delaware County, just an hour away from Binghamton. Delaware County is home to reservoirs that provide New York City with its drinking water, so environmental stewardship was instilled in me at a young age. Coupled with severe flooding in recent years, there is a lot of work to be done in my community. I come to Binghamton with the purpose of educating myself with the skills needed to tackle environmental issues that affect my home.

I was born in a small country in Southern Africa called Botswana which produces the second most diamonds in the world and the country with the highest number of elephants in the world. I have a B.A Degree in Environmental Science from University of Botswana. I am interested in GIS and programming.
I enjoy playing soccer and reading.
The Clifford D. Clark Diversity Fellowships for Graduate Students, named for Clifford D. Clark, a former president of the University, are designed to support students who contribute to the diversity of the student body. The Clark Fellowship funding package, which is awarded on the basis of academic merit, includes an academic-year stipend, full-tuition scholarship, health insurance, research and travel opportunities and other benefits. Clark Fellows are guaranteed to receive support for a specific period, assuming satisfactory academic progress.
-Be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents;
-Be newly admitted to a graduate program; and
-Demonstrate how they will contribute to the diversity of the student body in their program.
To apply, answer "yes" to the Clark Fellowship question on the graduate degree program application and submit the Clark Fellowship Essay.
This assistantship was established by Professor Emeritus Morris and Clara Budin '72 to provide a teaching assistantship and a tuition scholarship for a student studying urban geography and urban planning in the master's program. It is awarded based on academic merit.
Recipients chosen by the Department of Geography.
Established in 1985 by colleagues of Elizabeth A. Knapp to honor her 19 years of service to the University, this scholarship assists non-traditional female students with demonstrated financial need who have experienced delays pursuing their education.
The scholarship is awarded to women at least 25 years of age who are admitted to or currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, with planned enrollment of at least 6 credits per semester.

Other criteria considered include overall financial need; a recent or current demonstrated commitment to community service; and a clear vision of intended career goals. The scholarship is renewable if the recipient continues to meet the criteria.
Established in 2003 by the University Women's Club, this scholarship is awarded annually to a full-time, second-year female graduate student who demonstrates academic merit and a GPA of at least 3.7.
