Course content

The MA in East Asian Art offers a specialist training in the art history of China, Korea and Japan from the Neolithic to the present, for those who wish to pursue a career in Asian art. The course offers an art historical training in key features and concepts, encouraging students to make cross-cultural links in the art history of East Asia. Teaching focuses on an object-based approach and is organized into three strands: ritual and religious art, decorative art and pictorial art.
