MA Guidance & Counselling


Course Description

The MA will contribute in a significant way to the advancement of professional practice of guidance counsellors within schools and other professional settings. It will focus on personal, social, educational and vocational issues through contemporary theoretical, political and practical perspectives in the field.

Objectives:
To advance graduates of initial guidance counselling programmes personal and professional development and build on their knowledge, skills and competencies in the field.

Entry Requirements

Applications are invited from candidates who possess a Graduate Diploma (minimum 2:1) or equivalent professional qualification in guidance. Applicants will also be considered for entry on to this programme in line with the University's Policy for Recognition of Prior Learning. Where demand exceeds places candidates may be required to attend for interview.
