Before I came to England, I was a journalist writing English features in a state news agency in Beijing for six years since 2002. I won British Council’s Chevening Scholarship last year and finally landed in Goldsmiths for the MA Transnational Communications and Global Media last September. Four months have passed, I still feel quite fresh and excited each day. I like Goldsmiths, because here you can reinvent yourself. The course leaders encourage you to think broadly in different perspectives. The campus is quite multinational, so you can experience different cultures when communicating with different schoolmates. The campus atmosphere is quite arty and funky. You can even experiment on your dressing style every day to test your creative ideas. In a word, this lively environment at Goldsmiths really gives you a feeling that you yourself are unique and you can make a difference to the community, to the nation and even to the world.
